-FACC delivers Position Statement.

The Freedom Area Citizens' Council delivered its policy Position Statement to the Board of Commissioners. The Position Statement expresses FACC's opinions and recommendations in the areas of Growth Control, Infrastructure and Government to the Board of Commissioners. Recommendations made include: Restricting the use of conditional use permits in industrial zones, creation of a Water Board for S. Carroll, improvements to Routes 26 and 32 and support for Del. Donald Elliott's bill increasing the number of Commissioners to five (5) elected by district.

According to Ross Dangel, FACC Chairman, the FACC is very pleased with the recent accomplishments of the new Board of Commissioners. "We are very excited with the pace of change that has finally put the County on a forward track after years of going backwards. We look forward to helping the Commissioners shape further changes and we think our Position Statement will help them set a course which will have a beneficial impact for both citizens in the Freedom area and across the county as well."
