to Local High School Students

By Cathy Naused
The Freedom Area Citizens' Council is once again proud and honored to continue the FACC Scholarship Program in 2003. Past recipients of the scholarship awards were Jill Yaffe of Liberty High and Nicholas Behr of South Carroll High. The scholarships will be awarded to one senior from each South Carroll area high school. Specifically, seniors graduating from Liberty and South Carroll in 2003 are eligible if they fit the criteria. Century High School will be added to the program in 2004. For the year 2003, each FACC Scholarship will be given in the amount of $250 and shall be payable directly to a col1ege, university, junior college or community college. The scholarship will be awarded to a student intending to major in journalism or political science.

"This is a tremendous opportunity to make a contribution to our community and recognize that there are hardworking, talented young people who deserve our recognition," stated FACC Chairman Ross Dangel.
